Holloway Road is a country-pop duo from Essex, England, leading the way for the genre on the UK live circuit; having enjoyed extensive radio support and national press coverage, more streams than any other independent UK country duo, and opening for likes of The Shires, Lindsay Ell and more as well as numerous major festival appearances including Country to Country and the first Country Music Week in London. Coverage to date has included Vice, Country Music Magazine and The Daily Mail (“an impressive set for a huge mob of fans…”), and with growing support from fans worldwide, success in a growing international country scene is increasingly becoming part of the Holloway Road story. The band recently completed their first UK headline tour, documented in the video for recent single ‘Under Cover’, and they are due to return to Nashville in April 2018. https://www.hollowayroadmusic.
American Young is comprised of songwriter/musician, Kristy Osmunson, and songwriter/producer, Jon Stone, who are complete opposites when it comes to personality, but come together to create hauntingly beautiful music stemmed solely from their own personal experiences. Both are established songwriters in their own right and wrote 11 out of the 12 tracks on their current debut album, AY, that was released in August 2016. They explicitly state that they will only pen lyrics that touch them on an emotional level such as “God Sends a Train,” which speaks of the devastation Kristy endured when her mother was hit by a train but lived and eventually walked again, “Be Here,” which pleads for a moment of peace without the distractions of today’s world, and “Something to You,” which Kristy fought back tears to record in the studio. Kristy Osmunson, born and raised in Idaho, grew up playing the violin. She went from playing at honky-tonks to co-founding the electrifying fiddle-duo Bomshel and writing the Joey + Rory hit “Cheater, Cheater,” well on her way as a solo artist before crossing paths with Stone. Jon Stone, originally from Oregon, is also country born and bred, for a while even working as a bull rider, before he was a solo act turned successful producer/songwriter including Kenny Chesney’s “Seven Days,” Blake Shelton’s “Kiss My Country Ass,” and Rascal Flatts’ “Me and My Gang.” http://www.americanyoung.com.
Kate Ellis is an Americana singer-songwriter, who was born in Louisiana, grew up in New York and is now based in London, England. Kate’s southern country-folk roots come from her father, an important early musical influence who once played the guitar with Hank Williams on the famous Louisiana Hayride, where Elvis and Johnny Cash started out. Kate’s emotional and seductive vocals take you into a world of private beauty, reflection and feelings; the music is always intimate and evocative – you listen and want to be there. A journalist for the Observer described “hauntingly beautiful songs”, while No Depression described her debut album ‘Carve Me Out’ as “an album of great warmth and feeling that just makes you press repeat. Definitely worthy of recognition.” http://
