Morgan Myles Reimagines America’s Iconic “Sister Golden Hair” with Two Stunning New Versions –Setting the Stage for Her Forthcoming Album Laced (Out February 13)

Morgan Myles

(Nashville, Tennessee – December 12, 2025) — Acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Morgan Myles releases two bold re-interpretations of America’s chart-topping hit “Sister Golden Hair.” The double-single, available now on all streaming platforms, celebrates the song’s 50th anniversary with performances that honor the original while revealing Myles’ unmistakable vocal fire, emotional precision, and genre-blending artistry.

The new release finds Myles breathing vibrant new life into the Gerry Beckley–penned classic, adding the warmth, ache, and gospel-lift that have made her one of Americana’s most magnetic voices. The tracks are available across all streaming platforms now here.

Myles delivers two standout versions: a full-band performance featuring Kurtis Keber (Grace Potter, AJ & Aly) on bass, Val McCallum (Jackson Browne, Lucinda Williams) and Adam Gimenez (Savannah Pope, Paris Jackson) on guitar, Denny Fongheiser (Heart, Tracy Chapman) on drums and percussion, and Bernie Barlow (The Moody Blues, Melissa Etheridge) on background vocals, as well as a soaring rendition recorded with Resonance, UCLA’s nationally recognized, inclusive a cappella ensemble.

Both versions were recorded at Dave’s Room in North Hollywood, CA, and produced by Kirk Pasich and Denny Fongheiser.

“I’m both excited and honored listening to Morgan Myles’ two versions of my song ‘Sister Golden Hair.’ Although quite different from each other, they both hold firmly to my original inspiration for the song. Helmed by strong production from Kirk Pasich and Denny Fongheiser, the song has never sounded better. Sending out my congrats to Morgan and the whole team at Blue Élan.” – Gerry Beckley of America

“It’s a privilege to have both Gerry and Morgan as part of our label family. With the song’s 50th anniversary, we wanted to celebrate it in a meaningful way. Morgan immediately embraced the idea, both the reimagined arrangement and the a cappella version with Resonance.” – Kirk Pasich, Blue Élan Co-Founder

Blue Élan unveiled several singles in addition to “Sister Golden Hair” as Myles steps into a bold new era, building momentum for her highly anticipated album Laced, set to be released on February 13. Offering the first glimpse into this dynamic new chapter, Myles unveiled her title track, “Laced,” a stirring preview of the sound and sentiment behind her upcoming album.

Laced is a powerful collection of 12 songs that explore the complexities of love, loss, reflection, connection, and self-empowerment. The album was produced and mixed by multi-Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer/mixer Ross Hogarth.  He guided the creation of a rich organic sonic depth and emotional intensity, helping bring Myles’ performances to their most powerful and authentic form.

Myles is looking forward to a landmark year as she continues releasing new music that blends soul, strength, and storytelling. The upcoming album follows the success of her previous release Live at Apogee Studio, a raw and compelling live album recorded in a single take and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. With her signature authenticity and unmatched vocal power, Myles continues to cement her place as one of Americana and country music’s most magnetic rising voices.

Myles first captured national attention as a top-three finalist on NBC’s The Voice (Team Camila), where she earned the fastest four-chair turn in the show’s history. She has since performed over 100 shows a year, including a widely praised debut at the Grand Ole Opry, and has been featured by Billboard, CMT, People, Rolling Stone, and American Songwriter, amongst others.
