Scheduled For Sept. 23, Tickets Available at www.MusicCityRoots.com
(Nashville, Tenn. – September 17, 2015) – On Wednesday, Sept. 23, Music City Roots will host their annual Aussie night where they will honor the memory and legacy of Nashville music icon and AristoMedia founder Jeff Walker. The show will be held at The Factory in Franklin, which is located at 230 Franklin Rd, Franklin, TN. Doors open at 6, and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Aussie Night is the perfect theme to honor Walker’s roots and contributions to the music industry, as he was an Australian native before taking on the Nashville music scene in the late 70s.
The show will also be the introduction of the Jeff Walker Sister Cities Scholarship. The scholarship, to which 100% of the show’s ticket revenue will be donated, serves to fund artist exchanges between the U.S. and Australia.
This scholarship is an exceptionally fitting memorial for Walker, as he was instrumental in building the treasured relationship Nashville has today with international music centers, particularly Tamworth, Australia. The success of many individuals can be credited to his vision and perseverance in building an international network.
Aussie Night will be hosted by multiple Grammy winner Jim Lauderdale, with performances by Australian bands Raised By Eagles, Ruby Boots, Oh Pep!, Rick Price, and St. James Infirmary.
Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online at musiccityroots.com, with tickets ranging from $5 for students to $15 for reserved seats. There are also options to upgrade to a Roots Cafe ticket or a Hospitality Suite for a higher price.
