A native of Lewisburg, TN, Missi Gallimore began her career on Music Row working with the late Billy Sherrill, a Country Music Hall of Famer well known for writing and producing hits for George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Tanya Tucker, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Costello, among others.
Her resumé also includes ten years with Charley Pride’s publishing company, Pride Music Group, before striking out on her own to forge a successful career in A&R, working with Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Lee Ann Womack, Sugarland, and others. She’s responsible for pairing McGraw with such hits as “Humble and Kind,” “I Like It, I Love It,” and “Live Like You Were Dying.” She’s also responsible for Faith Hill recording “This Kiss” and “Breathe,” and she introduced Urban to the sultry hit “Blue Ain’t Your Color” and his most recent single, “God Whispered Your Name.”
