Begin Again: An Evening at Ocean Way to Bring Music, Film and Philanthropy Together October 23 in Support of Isaiah 117 House’s Davidson County Home
Intimate Event at Ocean Way Nashville Will Capture Absolute Silence Performing Live With Strings and Horns for Forthcoming Album and Concert Film/Documentary
(NASHVILLE, Tenn. — September 7, 2026) Nashville-based rock trio Absolute Silence has spent the past two years building its audience the old-fashioned way, one stage, one city and one country at a time. With more than 300 performances since January 2025 and independent touring across the U.S., Europe, the UK and South Africa, the band is bringing the focus back to Nashville for a live recording designed to make an impact beyond the music.
On Thursday, October 23, Absolute Silence will bring approximately 100 guests inside Ocean Way Nashville for Begin Again: An Evening at Ocean Way, an intimate, invitation-only live album recording and fundraising event benefiting Isaiah 117 House and its work supporting children entering foster care.
At the heart of the evening is a simple idea: use music being created in Nashville to give back to children in the Nashville community.
Isaiah 117 House provides a safe, comforting home for children who have been removed from their homes and are awaiting foster placement, a process that can take anywhere from hours to days. Rather than waiting in a child welfare office, children are welcomed into a home where they can receive meals, clean clothes and shoes, hygiene items, toys, blankets and, most importantly, comfort and care during what can be one of the most difficult days of their lives.
The partnership is also an extension of an existing relationship between Absolute Silence and Isaiah 117 House. The band previously supported the organization by donating instruments to its Davidson County location. This event creates an opportunity to deepen their commitment to the cause while introducing more of Nashville to the organization and its mission.
While its purpose is deeply rooted in giving back, Begin Again will be anything but a traditional fundraising event. Absolute Silence – Steven Okoniewski (vocals/piano), Robert Darmstadt (bass) and Harrison Nemarich (drums), will perform alongside strings and horns, capturing the music live in the room at Ocean Way as approximately 100 invited guests experience the recording session in real time.
Rather than recreating the evening later in a studio, the performances captured that night will become the foundation for a forthcoming live album, while cameras document the experience for an accompanying concert film/documentary.
For a band that has built much of its identity onstage, the format is intentional. Absolute Silence has performed more than 300 shows since January 2025, independently taking its music across the U.S. and overseas to Europe, the UK and South Africa. That relentless touring schedule has helped shape a sound built around the interplay of Okoniewski’s piano and vocals, Darmstadt’s bass and Nemarich’s drums, and a live show designed to move between intimate, cinematic moments and the scale and energy of a rock performance.
The project is being produced and creatively directed by Nashville record producer, engineer and mixer Ryan Poole, owner of The Hideout Recording Studio on Music Row. Located in the basement of the former home of the Waylon Jennings & Jessi Colter Music Company, The Hideout has operated as a working recording space since 1994. Records Poole has produced, mixed or engineered have surpassed 30 million streams, with Muso.ai ranking him among the top 2% of producers worldwide. His credits include recording vocals for Danny Gokey, three albums with Dawson Hollow, including one recorded entirely to analog tape and co-producing a Dawson Hollow song featured in Christmas With The Chosen: The Messengers, which was released in 1,700 theaters. His work has also taken him from Nashville’s RCA Studio A to recording an album in India, and he has written with Kyle Cook of Matchbox Twenty.
Poole will bring that experience to Begin Again, overseeing the project as both producer and creative director. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and behind-the-scenes studio tours before guests gather for a presentation from Isaiah 117 House about the children and families at the center of its mission. The night will culminate with Absolute Silence taking the room for the live recording.
The setting is particularly fitting for the ambitious recording. Located on Nashville’s Music Row inside a century-old Gothic Revival church, Ocean Way Nashville has become internationally known for full-band tracking, orchestral recording and scoring, making its expansive recording space a natural home for Absolute Silence’s combination of piano-led rock, strings and horns.
For Absolute Silence, Begin Again also marks another step forward during a pivotal period for the Nashville trio.
Combining explosive live performances, cinematic songwriting and modern production influences, Absolute Silence has built its identity around music meant to feel as powerful in the room as it does on record. After an independent world tour that culminated in a headline performance at the Misty Waters Festival in South Africa, the band returned to Nashville to finalize its debut album and prepare for extensive touring throughout the Americas, Europe, and South Africa in 2026–2027.
Absolute Silence will offer an intimate setting and their commitment to giving back for a recording intended to keep making an impact long after the final note is played.
