(Nashville, Tennessee – June 20, 2019) Music fans are counting down the days until London goes Country during Nashville Meets London (NML) Week, set for 24-27 July 2019. The four days, featuring an array of events and performances by artists representing the US and the UK will kick off in less six weeks and organizers continue to release more talent scheduled to appear.
Kicking off the NML week is Nashville Meets London Presents! at PizzaExpress Live on 24 and 25 July. Scheduled to perform are Holloway Road, Angie K, Clara Bond,and Danny McMahon on 24 July; then on 25 July Brittany Brodie, Callaghan, The Southern Companion, along with 2019 NML festival performer, Noah Guthrie will perform. Doors open for both shows at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 8:30 p.m. Tickets to both events are limited and cost £20.00 per ticket. That Friday, Buck’ N Bull Saloon and Nashville Meets London will come together to host a ‘Southern Fridays’ boat cruise down the River Thames. The programme includes acoustic performances by Binky, Callaghan, and Jake Morrell, and a DJ set by Baylen Leonard featuring fan-favorites spanning Country and Americana. Last year’s event was SOLD OUT and a limited number of tickets are left. The boat will embark at Bankside Pier at 18:45 and depart at 19:00. The boat disembarks at Bankside Pier at 23:00.
On Saturday, 27 July, music fans will then converge on Canary Wharf for the highly anticipated FREE summer music festival, Nashville Meets London. This year’s talent includes 2018 ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year, Lauren Alaina, who will headline this year’s festival. Other already announced singer/songwriter, actor best known for his pivotal role as Roderick Meeks on Glee, and semi-finalist on season 13 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Noah Guthrie; Country-Rock duo from Bristol, comprising of brothers Adam and Lawrence Purnell, Foreign Affairs; Twinnie, Sarah Darling, and Robert Vincent, who took home the UK Americana Music Association’s award for “Album of the Year.”
Nashville Meets London week is scheduled for July 24-27, 2019. Kicking off the event series isNashville Meets London Presents at PizzaExpress Live! on Wednesday and Thursday, July 24/25, followed by the return of the Nashville Meets London ‘Southern Fridays’ Boat Cruise, in partnership with Buck’ N Bull Saloon, on Friday, July 26 and the popular Nashville Meets London Music Festival on Saturday, July 27 at Canary Wharf.
Each year, the Nashville Meets London Music Festival features established and exciting new talent from Nashville, Tennessee, and the UK. The festival, which has become London’s largest FREE Country music festival, is held at Canada Square Park in Canary Wharf and is part of Canary Wharf’s Arts + Eventsprogramme. This year marks the fourth consecutive year in which the event has been held. Past performers include American Young, Ashley Campbell, Yola Carter, Logan Brill, Russell Dickerson, Holloway Road, Sam Outlaw, Sam Palladio, Angaleena Presley, Raintown, Lucie Silvas, The Sisterhood Band, Tyminski, and many more.
The site of this year’s festival, Canada Square Park, is located in the heart of Canary Wharf, which has over 300 shops, bars, and restaurants. Canary Wharf Arts + Events presents a world-class, year-round arts and eventsprogramme, offering tenants and visitors over 200 diverse and culturally inspired events throughout the Estate. The majority of these events are free for all and range from outdoor theatre, live music concerts, sporting events, dance performances, community showcases, global street food, and family-friendly shows.
