Paul Brandt and Jann Arden To Join Lineup Of Performers At 2009 Canadian Country Music Awards

First Round of Presenters Also Announced

(Nashville, TN) September 1, 2009 – The Canadian Country Music Association has announced the addition of Paul Brandt and Jann Arden to the stellar lineup of performers at this year’s CCMA Awards, to be held Sept. 13 in Vancouver, BC.

Paul Brandt made his mark on the country music charts with the single, “My Heart Has A History,” making him the first male Canadian country singer to reach the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the U.S. Nominated for a 2009 CCMA Award for Male Artist of the Year, Brandt will be performing “When You Call My Name” at this year’s awards show with special guests, High Valley.

Also performing will be entertainment icon, Jann Arden. With nine albums, 17 Top 10 singles, a substantial collection of awards and honors and a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame, Arden continues to be one of Canada’s most talented songwriters and performers.

Confirmed presenters at this year’s awards include: Martina McBride, George Canyon, Aaron Pritchett, The Higgins, Jason Blaine, One More Girl, Paul McGuire, Jillian Harris (from “The Bachelorette”), and Amber Marshall and Graham Wardle (from the cast of CBC’s “Heartland”).

Previously announced performers include Reba McEntire and Martina McBride from the U.S., as well as Terri Clark, George Canyon with Crystal Shawanda and Richard Marx, Doc Walker, Jessie Farrell, Aaron Pritchett, Emerson Drive, Johnny Reid and Gord Bamford. There will also be special performances from Dean Brody, Victoria Banks and Tara Oram. Jason Priestley will host the awards.
