Consumers Reveal Candid Thoughts on Country Radio and Music Industry in Live Panel
(Nashville, TN – Oct. 26, 2009) Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® has announced the return of its popular consumer focus group panel as part of the revitalized CRS agenda at Country Radio Seminar® 41, to be held Feb. 24-26, 2010.
“Normal People: From the Mouths of the Consumer,” will be held Friday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. CST. The live focus group provides a candid glimpse into the minds and opinions of the Country music consumer, from teenage high school students to career-oriented professionals.
“Sometimes it just makes sense to step back and ask the people that listen to the music and buy the records exactly what’s on their mind,” says panel moderator and WUBL MD Lance Houston. “At the same time, maybe some of the panelists aren’t buying the records and aren’t listening to the radio, and we want to know why that is, too.”
Panelists will represent a generous cross-section of regional Country radio markets of varying sizes. This marks the first time a live focus group has been held at Country Radio Seminar since CRS 35.
“It’s been several years since we’ve had a focus group at CRS, and keeping in the spirit of our agenda facelift, we thought this panel would really add some value to the Country Radio Seminar experience. I expect this to be one of the highlights of CRS 41,” adds CRS Agenda Chairman John Paul.
Country Radio Seminar 41 is loaded with superstar performers, expert speakers, educational panels and several returning events that have not been featured in recent years. As previously announced, Taylor Swift will perform at the popular Music City Jam™ (sponsored by the Academy of Country Music), financial authority Dave Ramsey
will deliver the Keynote Address, while panelists such as Bob Rosner provide valuable information that attendees can immediately put to use in the workplace. A more streamlined CRS agenda also makes it easier to attend more of the panels offered at the seminar.
The early bird rate of $499 for CRS 41 expires this week on Oct. 30
.
