One Day Only Early Bird Registration to Open Thursday, August 25th at 10 a.m. CST
(Nashville, Tenn. – Aug. 16, 2022) President and CEO of National Association of Broadcasters, Curtis LeGeyt, has been announced as the CRS 2023 keynote speaker. This session will be a fireside chat, with CRB Board President Kurt Johnson leading the conversation.
In his role, Curtis LeGeyt serves as the chief advocate for America’s free, local radio and television broadcasters. During his time at NAB, Curtis has led several highly successful efforts to advocate for laws that strengthen broadcasters’ ability to innovate and serve their communities. This includes the successful passage of the Music Modernization Act, permanent reauthorization of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act Reauthorization (STELAR), and the inclusion of $1 billion in RAY BAUM’s Act to reimburse stations impacted by the spectrum auction repack.
Curtis previously served as the association’s chief operating officer before assuming his current role in January 2021. Before that, he served as the executive vice president of Government Relations. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the NAB Leadership Foundation and the Broadcasters Foundation of America. Other boards he serves on include Tracy’s Kids, a non-profit helping children with cancer; and Musicians On Call, an organization bringing the healing power of music to children’s hospitals and beyond. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Music, a Nashville-based program that fosters community and collaboration among music industry leaders.
Johnson comments about LeGeyt’s upcoming appearance at CRS 2023, saying, “Curtis LeGeyt is a great champion for Country and all radio. At a time of so much evolution in the business, CRS gives you the opportunity to hear from radio’s most influential advocate. And to ask your questions about where things are and where we’re going. This is one session you can’t miss.”
The keynote discussion featuring LeGeyt will take place during CRS 2023 on Tuesday, March 14, at Omni Nashville Hotel.
