Rebecca Correia Releases Lyric Video for Heartfelt Ballad “Snow Globe Scene”

Rebecca Correia

(Nashville, TN – December 6, 2024) Singer-songwriter Rebecca Correia has released the lyric video for her song, “Snow Globe Scene,” a stirring track exploring the delicate balance of love and loss. The video can be viewed here.

“Snow Globe Scene” tells the story of a woman navigating life after the loss of her greatest love. Through vivid lyrics, she clings to the dreams they shared and the memories they made. She imagines dancing in a “snow globe scene” while listening to his favorite radio station and cherishing his shirt still hanging beside her wedding dress.

The lyric video brings the song’s emotional depth to life, blending images of delicate snow globes with behind-the-scenes footage of the song’s recording process. These visuals enhance the song’s bittersweet tone, immersing viewers in its dreamlike atmosphere.

Correia shared her connection to the song, saying “Based on the true story of one of my very first roommates in Nashville who lost her husband tragically, ‘Snow Globe Scene’ had been nesting dormant inside me for quite some time. I would revisit the song occasionally but was never fully ready to face the sadness of this experience. I had to be strong for my friend, but that also meant blindfolding myself to the grief that was swirling all around me. It meant having to shield myself emotionally from an immeasurable loss that no one should have to endure. This song captures the months after his passing, living side by side with the grief while simultaneously celebrating that my friend had married the love of her life, but also lost him in the very same week. It’s a season frozen in time that she and I will share forever but never fully come to understand.“

The song and lyric video complement the themes of Correia’s newly released EP Flying, which explores resilience, hope, and the ability to find beauty amid heartbreak. Flying can be heard in full here.
