(Nashville, Tenn. – October 16, 2013) – Country artist Robby Armstrong is hosting the annual Children Today Halloween party and costume contest October 25 and 26 at Nadine’s Irish Mist in Sunset Beach, Calif. The event is a fundraiser for the organization, Children Today, and all proceeds will go towards childcare for homeless families in Long Beach, Calif.
This year marks the seventh consecutive year Armstrong has supported the event. Armstrong and his wife, Chimene, started presenting the Halloween fundraiser in 2007. Since then, they have raised over $40,000 for the non-profit organization.
“I would love to save the world, but sometimes we have to start with one household or neighborhood at a time,” said Robby Armstrong.
Chimene, a Children Today board member, is dedicated to helping Orange County’s neighbor, Long Beach, through this organization. “Helping a neighbor and helping innocent children by giving them a place where they can trust and feel safe daily should be the only reason why we do this,” said Chimene.
Tickets for the event are $25 and can be purchased at http://www.childrentoday.org/halloween.html. Food is included, along with entertainment from Armstrong and his band. To make a general donation to Children Today visit http://www.childrentoday.org/.
