(Nashville, TN – Sept. 8, 2009) Up and coming singer/songwriter Minnie Murphy poses with actor Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile, The Whole Nine Yards, The Island) at one of several Nashville locations where the upcoming film “Bailey” was being shot. Murphy was offered a part in the film, set for 2010 release, after the film’s producer, Rhoads Rader, saw her performing at Nashville restaurant Sambuca. The young songstress sings her original song “Bluer than Blue” in the film at one of the many juke joints featured in the movie. The film is directed by veteran Hollywood actor Mario Van Peebles (Kerosene Cowboys, Bring Your “A” Game, New Jack City) and features co-stars Duncan, Morgan Simpson, and Tom Skerritt.
