The Country Dance convention returns to Nashville, Tenn. for the second year.
(Nashville, Tenn. – Dec. 12, 2013) – The UCWDC Country Dance World Championships, known as WORLDS, will take place at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. on Dec. 30 through Jan. 5.
The seven-day convention is an annual event that rotates between cities every two years. This is the second year UCWDC Worlds will be held in Nashville. The event features social dancing, workshops, competitions, shows, shopping, exhibitions, a New Year’s Eve party and more. More than 800 attendees come from all over the world to learn from their favorite choreographers and go to various workshops.
There will also be an open dance floor that is free and open to the public.
In addition to the dancing, there will be various vendor booths at the event. Nashville-based dance club promotion and marketing company Marco Club Connection will have a booth at the event on Jan. 3 and 4. They will be handing out swag items from artists they have worked with. Along with the booth, Marco will help sponsor some of the various programs and workshops throughout the event.
A silent auction benefitting the Happy Tales Humane Association, one of Tennessee’s leading no kill animal shelters, will also be held during the event. The Celebrity Auction will include celebrity autographed merchandise and Nashville-based products.
