NuVoodoo’s Leigh Jacobs Delivers New National Research Insights for Country Radio
(Nashville, Tennessee — April 29, 2026) — Building on the momentum of the highly attended research session at Country Radio Seminar (CRS) 2026, Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) has officially released “The Music Test,” powered by Curb, as part of its CRS360 series, now available for on-demand viewing (here).
Presented by NuVoodoo’s Leigh Jacobs, “The Music Test” serves as a follow-up to the organization’s Online Music Test (OMT) unveiled during CRS in March. This latest installment expands on those findings, offering deeper analysis, updated rankings, and strategic recommendations drawn from a national online music test conducted exclusively for CRS.
Jacobs is joined by CRS Research Co-Chairs Clay Hunnicutt and Justin Chase, who provide additional insights and context around the data, helping programmers, labels, and industry professionals better understand evolving listener preferences.
The original CRS 2026 research session featured a comprehensive nationwide study examining more than 400 songs spanning from the 1990s to today, tested among 600 country music fans ages 18 to 49. The findings offered valuable comparisons between traditional radio listeners and heavy streaming audiences—equipping programmers with actionable insights to inform music decisions and strategy.
As part of the ongoing CRS360 programming, “The Music Test” continues the mission of delivering timely, relevant, and accessible industry education to the country radio community year-round.
“The Music Test” is now available for on-demand viewing via the CRS platform. Additional CRS360 episodes can be accessed at www.CountryRadioSeminar.com.
